What we provide

Material Academy provides self-paced certification programmes in supply chain management, together with assessment and, on passing, a certificate issued by Material Academy.

Your account

You must give accurate information when you register, and you must verify your email address before your account becomes active. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity carried out under your account. Tell us immediately at support@materialacademy.org if you believe someone else has access to it.

Accounts are personal. You may not share access, and you may not register on behalf of somebody else without their knowledge.

Fees

The fee for each programme is shown on its page and is payable before enrolment is confirmed. Fees are stated in United States dollars. The fee covers the programme material, the assessment, and the certificate on passing.

We may change the fee for a programme, but a change never affects an enrolment already paid for.

Assessment and certification

Certificates are awarded on the basis of assessment. Enrolling in a programme and paying the fee do not by themselves entitle you to a certificate. If you do not meet the standard, we will tell you why.

Certificates are issued to the name on your account, so keep it accurate.

Acceptable use

You may not copy, resell or redistribute programme material, attempt to gain access to parts of the site you are not entitled to, or interfere with its operation. We may suspend an account that does.

Availability

We aim to keep the site available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, hosting faults and circumstances outside our control can all cause interruption. Because programmes are self-paced, short interruptions do not affect your ability to complete one.

Liability

We provide certification in good faith and take reasonable care over the quality of assessment. We are not liable for indirect losses, including loss of employment, contracts or opportunity, arising from use of the site or from the outcome of an assessment. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Ending your account

You can ask us to close your account at any time. We may close an account that breaches these terms. Closing an account does not automatically refund fees already paid.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
